What we did
Two deck cranes on the starboard side of a vessel, forward and aft, were due for load testing and certification at the Port of Fujairah.
Before any load went on, we carried out a visual check of the structure, ran every crane function and inspected the luffing, closing and holding wire ropes.
Each crane was then proof loaded in both of its operating modes: grab mode and general hook mode.
Both cranes held the proof loads steadily and passed, and were certified for service.
