Hydraulic repair in Sharjah, at our workshop and on site

Our Sharjah workshop for cylinder, pump, valve and power pack overhauls, with on-site work at Hamriyah, Port Khalid and Sajaa.

Our hydraulic workshop is in Sharjah, so this is where cylinders, pumps, motors, valves and power packs from all over the UAE are stripped, measured, repaired and tested. In Sharjah itself we also work on site at Hamriyah, Port Khalid, the industrial areas and Sajaa, and across the neighbouring emirates of Ajman and Umm Al Quwain.

What happens in our Sharjah workshop

Most of the repair value in hydraulics is bench work, and that is done here:

  • Cylinder overhaul. Strip-down, measurement of rod, barrel and gland, reseal, replacement of rods, glands or pistons, and a pressure test on the bench at 1.5 times working pressure with a test report. Rods that need hard-chrome re-plating and barrels that need honing go to our machining partners. See hydraulic cylinder repair.
  • Pump and motor repair. Piston, vane and gear pumps, radial-piston and orbital motors: strip, inspect, replace the rotating group, seals and bearings as needed, and test. See pumps and motors.
  • Valve overhaul and testing. Directional control valves, sectional banks, counterbalance and relief valves, VRCS actuators. See valves and VRCS.
  • Power packs. Refurbishment of existing units, accumulator pre-charge checks and bladder replacement, and new-build power packs to a specification. See hydraulic power units.
  • Hose making. In-house crimping of R1, R2, 4SH and R13 hose with JIC, BSP, NPT, ORFS and SAE flange fittings, including stainless options. Hoses for a planned re-hosing are usually made up within one or two days of the survey. See hose management.

Because the workshop is in Sharjah, customers here and in the northern emirates can deliver components themselves, which saves collection time. We can also collect.

Where we work on site in Sharjah

Hamriyah Free Zone and Hamriyah Port. Heavy industry, steel and fabrication, oil storage and a port handling general cargo, bulk and project cargo. Typical work: plant presses and power packs, fabrication yard cranes, vessels at the port with crane and steering defects, and small craft repair.

Port Khalid. Sharjah’s city port, handling container, general cargo and ro-ro traffic. Typical work: ship cranes, ramps and hatch covers on calling vessels, port handling equipment, and port craft.

Sharjah Creek and the dhow yards. Smaller vessels and dhows with steering, winch and crane hydraulics, and repair work along the creek.

Sharjah industrial areas. The numbered industrial areas host workshops, factories, plant hire yards and transport companies. Typical work: excavator and crane cylinders, pump and valve repair, tipper and trailer hydraulics on larger fleets, and press and machine hydraulics.

Sajaa and the inland industrial zones. Heavy industry and processing plants. Typical work: power packs, presses, plant cylinders and crusher hydraulics.

Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. Yacht and boat builders, small shipyards and factories. Typical work: yacht hydraulics, newbuild power packs, slipway and boat lift hydraulics, and factory equipment.

How work is organised in Sharjah

  • Drop-off at the workshop. The quickest route for components that can be removed: bring the cylinder, pump or valve with its nameplate data and a description of the fault. We strip and report with photographs and measurements before repair.
  • Collection. We collect from sites in Sharjah and the neighbouring emirates when you cannot deliver.
  • On-site attendance. Engineers attend factories, yards and vessels for troubleshooting, in-place repairs and load tests.
  • Port access. For Hamriyah and Port Khalid, the agent or site team arranges gate passes; we provide names, IDs and vehicle details.

Same day or next day attendance is typical for planned work. Quotes usually follow within one working day of photos and nameplate data. Where the condition is unknown, we quote firmly after strip-down.

What to send from Sharjah

  1. Photographs of the component and its nameplate or part number.
  2. The fault and the machine or vessel it came from.
  3. Whether you will deliver to the workshop or need collection.
  4. For on-site work, the location (Hamriyah, Port Khalid, industrial area number, Sajaa) and access requirements.

We focus on overhauls, load tests and planned work rather than single-hose call-outs, and we do not run mobile hose vans; for one hose, a nearby hose shop will be faster. For a whole machine or vessel, a planned re-hosing from our workshop is better value.

Questions

Can I bring a cylinder to your workshop?

Yes. Tell us before you come so we can receive it, and bring the nameplate data or the machine details. We strip it, measure it and send a condition report with a quote before repair.

How long does a cylinder repair take in Sharjah?

Typically 3 to 7 working days after strip-down. If the rod needs re-chroming or the barrel needs honing, our machining partners do that work and it adds time, which we confirm after strip-down.

Do you collect from Ajman and Umm Al Quwain?

Yes. We collect components from sites in Ajman and Umm Al Quwain and attend there for on-site work.

Do you make single hoses while I wait?

No. We make hoses as part of planned re-hosing and hose programmes. For a single hose, a local hose shop is the quicker option.
