We repair the hydraulic presses, power packs, pumps, cylinders and valves that keep UAE factories and process plants running, with the heavy work done in our Sharjah workshop and on-site work planned around your shutdowns. Most of our onshore customers are in the industrial areas of Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah.
The maintenance manager’s world
A factory maintenance manager is responsible for uptime with a small team and a spare parts budget that never quite covers everything. Hydraulics are usually a few critical machines: the press, the injection moulding machine, the baler, the kiln drive, the clamp or lifting table. When one of them stops, the line stops.
The usual approach in the UAE is to keep the machines running with in-house fitters and call in specialists for overhauls, troubleshooting faults the team cannot find, and planned shutdown work. Many machines were imported second-hand or built in Europe or Asia, so documentation is incomplete and spares come from overseas.
Equipment we work on in plants
- Hydraulic presses: main ram and cushion cylinders, pumps, prefill and proportional valves, power packs.
- Injection moulding and die casting machines: clamp and injection cylinders, variable pumps such as Rexroth A10VSO and Parker PV, accumulators.
- Steel, aluminium and metal processing: shears, benders, coil handling, roll gap cylinders.
- Cement, quarry and aggregate plants: crusher hydraulics, kiln and mill hydraulics, hydraulic gates.
- Recycling and waste: balers, compactors, shear and grab cylinders.
- Lifting tables, dock levellers and goods lifts with hydraulic drives.
- Water and utilities: hydraulic actuators on valves and gates.
- Process power packs (HPUs) for any of the above, including new-build units to your specification.
Typical failures in UAE plants
Heat. Many plants have power packs in hot, poorly ventilated rooms. With ambient air at 45 C or more, oil runs hot, viscosity falls, internal leakage rises and seals harden. The fix is sometimes as simple as a bigger cooler or a cleaned one. See hydraulic overheating in UAE heat and our viscosity tool.
Dust. Cement, quarry, steel and recycling sites put fine dust into breathers and onto rods. That shows up as worn pumps and scored cylinders. A good breather, filter maintenance and an ISO 4406 oil cleanliness check do more than any repair.
Pump wear. Variable pumps lose efficiency gradually, and the first signs are slow cycles, noise and heat. See noisy hydraulic pump.
Cylinder drift and leaks. Press and clamp cylinders that creep under load usually have worn piston seals or a leaking valve. See cylinder drift causes.
Accumulators. Flat or wrongly charged accumulators make machines sluggish and are a safety hazard during maintenance. See accumulator safety and pre-charge.
Compliance and insurance
Factory hydraulics are mainly checked by your own HSE team, your insurer and, for lifting equipment such as goods lifts and lifting tables, a third-party inspection body. After a repair to load-bearing hydraulics, a proof load test with a report is often expected. We provide bench test reports for cylinders (1.5 times working pressure), accumulator pre-charge records, and proof load tests with water bags and load cells for lifting equipment. See load testing.
How we work with plants
Workshop repairs. Pumps, motors, valves and cylinders come to our Sharjah workshop. We strip, inspect and report with photographs and measurements before repairing, so you can decide between repair and replacement on facts. After repair, components are tested before return.
Shutdown work. For machines that cannot be removed, we plan with you ahead of the shutdown: survey, parts ordering, a work sequence, then engineers on site for the window. See engineer attendance.
Troubleshooting. When a machine is down and the cause is not obvious, an engineer attends with gauges and test equipment to find the fault before parts are bought.
New power packs. We build new hydraulic power units to a specification: reservoir, pump, motor, valves, filtration, cooling and controls sized for the duty and for UAE ambient temperatures. See hydraulic power units.
Services that matter most
| Need | Service |
|---|---|
| Presses and plant machinery | Industrial hydraulics |
| Power pack overhaul or new build | Hydraulic power units |
| Pump and motor repair | Pumps and motors |
| Press and clamp cylinders | Hydraulic cylinder repair |
| Proportional and directional valves | Valves and VRCS |
| Planned machine re-hosing | Hose management |
The brand pages for Bosch Rexroth pumps, Parker and Denison and Danfoss explain what to read off the nameplate.
What to send for a quote
- The machine: make, model and what it does.
- The symptom and when it happens in the cycle.
- Photographs of the nameplate on the pump, motor, valve or cylinder.
- The hydraulic circuit drawing if you have one.
- Working pressure, oil type and the room temperature where the power pack sits.
- Shutdown dates if the work must be done on site.
We usually quote within one working day of receiving photos and nameplate data. We focus on overhauls, power pack work and planned shutdowns rather than single-hose call-outs; for one hose, a local hose shop will be quicker.
