What we did
A vessel at Fujairah anchorage had a defective luffing cylinder on its mid-ship crane.
We isolated and inspected the crane's hydraulic system, then removed the cylinder using a custom lifting arrangement to a lift plan prepared by our engineers.
The cylinder was stripped, the seal kit renewed, the piston rod inspected and the barrel cleaned.
After reassembly we pressure tested it with our own portable hydraulic power unit to confirm it was leak-free, then refitted it to the crane.
