We repair and overhaul hydraulic equipment for factories and industrial plants across the UAE: press and machine cylinders, power packs, pumps, motors and valves, plus planned shutdown support. Components are overhauled and tested in our Sharjah workshop, close to the industrial areas of Sharjah, Dubai and Ajman, and engineers attend plants in all seven emirates.
Factory maintenance managers want two things from a hydraulic contractor: the line back running, and a fix that lasts. We bring the same measured, documented approach we use for ships and cranes to presses, moulding machines and process plant.
What we work on
- Hydraulic presses: main ram and cushion cylinders, pre-fill valves, power packs and controls
- Injection moulding and die casting machines: clamp and injection cylinders, pumps and valves
- Recycling and waste equipment: balers and compactors, shredders
- Metal and fabrication machines: press brakes, shears, benders
- Process and material handling plant: tippers, dock levellers, lifting tables, conveyors with hydraulic drives
- Construction plant in workshops and yards: excavator, loader and piling rig cylinders, pumps and swing motors
- Power packs of all sizes, including accumulator stations and test rigs
How the job runs
- Photos and data. The machine, nameplates of the cylinder, pump or power pack, working pressure, the fault, and how urgent it is.
- Quote. An outline quote typically within one working day of receiving photos and nameplate data.
- Site visit if needed. Pressure, flow and temperature readings to confirm the fault before removing anything.
- Removal and workshop strip-down. Every part measured and photographed, with a firm scope before parts are ordered.
- Repair. Reseal, new rods, glands, pistons, pump rotating groups, valve parts. Hard-chrome re-plating and honing are done by our machining partners.
- Test. Cylinders are bench tested at 1.5 times working pressure. Pumps and power packs are function and pressure tested.
- Refit and commission. Settings re-checked on the machine and written into the report.
Cylinder reseals are typically 3 to 7 working days after strip-down, longer if a rod needs re-chroming.
What we measure
- Cylinders: rod diameter, straightness and chrome condition, barrel ovality and taper, gland bush wear, and bypass under pressure. Press cylinders often run high pressures and long cycles, so small amounts of wear show up as lost tonnage or slow return. Use our cylinder force tool to check press force against bore and pressure.
- Pumps: case drain flow, pressure and flow output, noise and temperature.
- Valves: relief and sequence settings, internal leakage, coil and signal checks on solenoid and proportional valves.
- Oil: cleanliness to ISO 4406, water content and viscosity. Our oil cleanliness tool helps compare a sample result with typical targets.
- Temperature: oil temperature through a production shift, and cooler performance.
Common failures in UAE factories
- Heat: power packs in hot plant rooms or near furnaces, ovens and moulding barrels, with oil running far above the design temperature. See hydraulic overheating in UAE heat.
- Dust: fine dust from cement, recycling, wood and metal processing entering through breathers and cylinder wipers.
- Cycle fatigue: high-cycle machines wearing seals, hoses and pump parts faster than maintenance schedules assume.
- Wrong replacement parts: non-matching seals or pumps fitted in a hurry after an earlier breakdown.
- Pressure spikes from fast-acting valves without proper damping, cracking hoses and fittings.
Planned shutdowns
The best time to overhaul a press or line is during a planned shutdown. We survey beforehand, list what should be overhauled, order parts and seal kits in advance, and attend on day rates to remove, overhaul, refit and commission within the shutdown window.
What drives the cost
Industrial work varies widely in scope. A medium cylinder reseal or valve repair sits at the lower end. Large press cylinders that need re-chroming, a pump rotating group, or a power pack refurbishment sit at the upper end. Size and weight, removal and handling inside the plant, parts lead times, and the time window all affect the cost.
What to send for a fast quote
- Machine type, make and model
- Photos of the component and its nameplate
- Bore × rod × stroke for cylinders, or the pump model code
- Working pressure and the fault
- Emirate and site location, and your deadline or shutdown dates
