What we did
A vessel's shark jaw was not working properly. Our inspection found significant internal leakage in both the main pilot-operated directional control valve and the solenoid valve.
Replacement valves from the maker had long lead times, and the vessel was due to sail within 48 hours.
Our technician designed a stand-alone bypass system from locally available components and fitted it on board.
The new setup restored both normal and emergency operation, and the vessel sailed on time.
